For suppliers

Manage supplier settings and notifications

Control supplier profile, privacy, security, company, reminders, invitations, and terms settings for the active workspace.

3 min readUpdated

Supplier settings combine personal account controls with organization controls. Personal settings follow you. Company, team, invitation, and terms settings apply to the active supplier workspace.

Confirm the workspace name before changing organization settings.

Profile and public visibility

Use Settings > Profile to update the personal details Tap allows you to manage. Review the public profile or discoverability controls before publishing information that buyers can find.

Public profile changes affect how other Tap users can identify and contact you. Keep business role and company context current, and do not publish private phone numbers or other information your organization does not want shared.

A profile can be personal even when it is shown in a supplier relationship. Company information belongs in the company settings.

Privacy and security

Use Privacy to review the available visibility and data controls. Use Security for sign-in and session protections.

Never share a sign-in link, password, session cookie, one-time code, or recovery credential with another user or with the Tap Agent. If you suspect account access is compromised, secure the identity provider account and end unfamiliar sessions before continuing commercial work.

Account deletion is a consequential personal action. Read the confirmation and impact carefully. Deleting a person's account is not the same as deleting the supplier company or its transaction history.

Company settings

People with the required organization permission can update supplier company details in Settings > Company. These details identify the supplier in Properties, requests, deals, and Orders.

Company settings may also provide buyer invitation management and the current supplier terms state. Accepting or reviewing terms is an owner-level organizational responsibility when the interface indicates it.

Do not create a second company to correct a name or ownership issue. Ask the current workspace owner or support to resolve it.

Notification preferences

Supplier notifications bring together events from RFP Exchange, deals, relationships, and other shared activity. Open Notifications to review unread items and follow the linked record.

Settings include the available email reminder controls. The RFP deadline reminder digest is designed around approaching three-day and one-day windows and is rate-limited so repeated emails are not sent continuously. In-product status remains authoritative, so do not rely on email as the only deadline control.

If reminders are missing:

  1. verify the preference is enabled
  2. confirm your account email
  3. check that the RFP is accessible in the active workspace
  4. review spam or organizational mail filtering
  5. use Pipeline > Needs action as the operational queue

Team and permissions

Team settings control invitations, roles, and permissions. A person may see a record without having authority to edit Avails, submit a response, manage deals, change routing, or decide an Order.

Ownership of a Pipeline item does not grant those permissions. See Manage your team and permissions.

Supplier terms

The current supplier terms are available from the onboarding or company settings flow. Read the version presented in the product. Terms are organization records and may require an authorized owner to accept them.

If the recorded company, listing ownership, or accepting person is wrong, stop and resolve the issue before confirming transactions.

Save and verify

After changing a setting, wait for the success state and refresh the relevant page to confirm the change persisted. For organization changes, ask another authorized teammate to verify when the impact is significant.

For initial setup, see Complete supplier onboarding.
