Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about what Tap automates, what stays a human decision, and how the Plan, RFP, Avail, Order, and Deal mechanics behave.

What Tap does and does not decide

Does Tap make the media plan?

Tap can help structure a Plan from campaign intent and assist with research or drafting. The buyer remains responsible for the campaign direction and approvals.

Does Tap automatically send an RFP?

No. The buyer reviews the exact request and recipient list, then explicitly approves Send RFP before any supplier is contacted.

Does AI choose the winning supplier?

No. AI may organize and compare submitted Avails, but a person decides which response advances to an Order.

Does Tap replace the buyer-supplier relationship?

No. RFP Exchange conversations, Avail Responses, and Orders are designed to preserve the direct relationship and context between the buyer and the supplier.

Is Tap the media invoice counterparty?

No. Buyers and suppliers remain responsible for their own media agreement, credit, invoicing, and payment. Tap invoices only for its own approved fees, subject to the current terms.

Can another AI product or agent use Tap?

Tap does not currently expose a public third-party agent integration. Treat an integration as available only when it appears in current Tap documentation.

Does a supplier need a complete rate card before responding to an RFP?

No. A supplier can start an Avail Response by entering rates manually. From the active RFP Exchange chat, they can also attach a source file and ask the supplier Tap Agent to stage a private Avail draft. The response still has to be completed and explicitly submitted before the buyer sees it.

Plans, RFPs, and revisions

What happens if I edit an RFP after I already sent it?

A sent revision does not change silently. Editing a material detail, such as the objective, flight, audience, or delivery goal, stages a new revision while suppliers keep seeing the previously sent copy until you review and explicitly resend it.

Is changing the response deadline the same as sending a new RFP revision?

No. Changing only the deadline is a separate amendment. Approving the new deadline updates the open RFP Exchanges immediately without creating a new RFP revision, and you can add another recipient while the deadline stays open.

Can I delete a Plan, RFP, or Order I no longer need?

You can permanently delete an unsent draft Plan after reviewing the warning. Sent RFPs and Orders cannot be deleted through that cleanup action. Archive a Plan instead if you want it out of your active view without destroying transaction history.

What happens if a supplier's response deadline passes before they submit?

If the RFP Exchange is still open, Tap still allows the supplier to submit and labels the response late. If the Exchange has closed, the request remains visible as a record but no longer accepts changes or new Avail Responses.

Avails and Orders

What happens if the Avails I want to order have gone stale?

Tap rechecks the selected Avails before an Order is placed. Withdrawn, expired, superseded, closed, or stale Avails cannot be added to a new Order, so you resolve the changed inventory before sending terms the supplier no longer offers.

Can I withdraw an Order after I have sent it?

Yes, while it is waiting for the supplier's decision. An Order in Ordered status can be withdrawn before confirmation. Once a supplier confirms or declines, that decision is final for that Order.

What does an Alternative label mean on a supplier's response?

It means the supplier offered a different fit than the exact request rather than a direct match. The supplier is expected to explain the reason, so review it before treating the option as equivalent to what you requested.

Permissions and the supplier pipeline

What happens if I do not have permission to create a Deal?

Creating or editing a Deal requires Edit Deals. Ask a teammate with Manage team permissions to grant it, or ask a teammate who already has Edit Deals for the property to create the Deal.

Who can see my organization's Pipeline?

Full visibility into a supplier organization's Pipeline requires the View pipeline capability, granted for the whole organization or scoped to a market or property. Without it, a person can generally still see only the incoming RFPs and Deals they are personally assigned to or created.

What if a Supplier Property has nobody set up to receive its RFPs?

Routing rules assign matching RFPs to teammates who hold Receive RFPs for that property. If no rule matches and the property's default receiver group is empty, grant Receive RFPs to at least one teammate on the Team page so incoming demand has somewhere to go.

What media types can I transact in Tap today?

The guided RFP workflow currently supports radio and TV. Podcast, digital display, digital video, digital audio, and OOH guides are coming soon.
