Listing Your Inventory

A guide for publishers and media suppliers on how to list advertising inventory on Tap.

Overview#

As a media supplier on Tap, you can list your advertising inventory to reach advertisers directly. This guide walks you through setting up your platform, configuring pricing, and managing incoming campaign requests.

Getting Started#

Create your supplier account

Sign up at tap.co/publishers and verify your business information. Our team will review your application within 1-2 business days.

Add your platform

Once approved, navigate to Platforms > Add Platform in your Ad Server dashboard. Enter your station or publication details including:

  • Platform name and description
  • Media type (radio, TV, podcast, digital, etc.)
  • Market and coverage area
  • Call sign and frequency (for broadcast)

Upload audience data

Add audience demographics and reach data to help advertisers evaluate your platform. Supported data includes:

  • Age and gender breakdowns
  • Market rankings and share
  • Daypart performance
  • Geographic coverage

Set your pricing

Configure your rate card with:

  • Base rates by ad format
  • Seasonal adjustments
  • Volume discounts
  • Package deals

Managing Your Inventory#

Rate Cards#

Your rate card is the foundation of pricing on Tap. Keep it up to date to ensure accurate quotes for advertisers.

Rates are visible to advertisers but final pricing is negotiated per campaign. You always have the final say on pricing.

Availability#

Set availability windows to control when your inventory is open for booking. You can:

  • Block out dates for existing commitments
  • Set minimum lead times
  • Configure automatic hold periods

Campaign Requests#

When advertisers submit proposals:

  1. You'll receive a notification in your dashboard
  2. Review the campaign details and creative requirements
  3. Accept, negotiate, or decline the request
  4. Once accepted, manage the campaign through to completion

Best Practices#

  • Keep data current — Updated audience data and pricing attract more advertisers
  • Respond quickly — Fast response times improve your platform ranking
  • Use packages — Bundle deals encourage larger bookings
  • Showcase creative services — If you offer production, list it alongside your inventory
