AI Creative Generation
Using AI tools to generate video, image, and audio creatives for your campaigns.
Overview#
Tap includes built-in AI creative tools that let you generate video, image, and audio ads directly within the platform. Instead of outsourcing creative production or spending weeks on revisions, you can go from brief to finished asset in minutes — then attach it directly to your campaign.
This guide covers each creative format, how to generate and refine assets, and best practices for getting the most out of AI-generated content.
Available Creative Formats#
Tap supports AI generation for three core ad formats:
- Video — Short-form video ads (6s, 15s, 30s) using AI video generation
- Image — Static display ads, social banners, and digital billboards
- Audio — Radio spots, podcast ads, and voiceovers with AI-generated voices
Each format has its own set of customization options, but the workflow follows the same pattern: describe what you want, generate options, review, refine, and export.
AI creative tools are available on all Tap plans. Generated assets can be used across any campaign on the platform.
Generating Video Creatives#
AI video generation is ideal for producing short promotional spots, product showcases, and brand awareness clips. Tap uses advanced AI video models to turn your text descriptions into polished video content.
What You Can Create#
- Product demo videos from descriptions or images
- Animated brand spots with motion graphics
- Lifestyle and scenario-based video ads
- Text overlay and call-to-action sequences
How to Generate a Video#
Open the Creative Studio
From your dashboard, navigate to Creatives and click New Creative. Select Video as your format.
Write your creative brief
Describe the video you want in plain language. Be specific about the scene, mood, colors, and any text overlays. For example:
A warm, sunlit kitchen scene showing a family enjoying breakfast together.
Bright, inviting colors. Text overlay at the end: "Start your morning
with FreshBite — available at all major retailers."
Configure video settings
Choose your target duration (6s, 15s, or 30s), aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16, or 1:1), and resolution. These should match the requirements of your campaign's media placements.
Generate and preview
Click Generate to create your video. Tap will produce one or more variations for you to review. Playback each option to evaluate pacing, visuals, and overall quality.
Refine or regenerate
If the output needs adjustment, edit your brief and regenerate. You can also request specific changes — like adjusting the color palette, changing the pacing, or adding different text overlays.
Creating Image Ads#
Image creatives work well for display campaigns, social media placements, and digital billboards. The AI image generator can produce a range of styles, from photorealistic product shots to illustrated brand graphics.
Supported Image Types#
- Display banners (standard IAB sizes)
- Social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn formats)
- Digital out-of-home (billboard, transit)
- Native ad thumbnails
Tips for Better Image Results#
- Reference your brand guidelines — Mention specific colors (hex codes work), fonts, and visual styles in your prompt
- Specify composition — Describe where elements should appear (e.g., "product centered, logo in bottom-right corner")
- Include text sparingly — AI-generated text in images can be unpredictable. For critical copy, plan to add text overlays after generation
- Generate multiple variations — Create 3-4 options and compare them side by side before selecting a final version
Example Image Prompt#
A clean, modern banner ad for a fitness app. Deep blue background with
white and orange accents. Show a smartphone displaying the app interface
on the left side. Right side has the headline "Train Smarter" in bold
sans-serif font. Minimalist style, no clutter.
Generating Audio Spots#
Audio creatives are essential for radio and podcast campaigns. Tap's AI audio tools can generate full voiceover tracks, background music beds, and complete radio-ready spots.
Audio Creative Options#
- Voiceovers — Choose from a library of AI voices with different tones, accents, and styles
- Full spots — Combine voiceover with background music for a complete audio ad
- Music beds — Generate royalty-free background tracks to pair with your own voiceover
Creating a Voiceover#
Select Audio format
In the Creative Studio, choose Audio as your format and select Voiceover as the audio type.
Write your script
Enter the exact script you want narrated. Include any pronunciation notes or emphasis cues in parentheses. For example:
Looking for the best deals this holiday season? (pause)
Visit GreenLeaf Market for fresh, local produce at prices
you'll love. GreenLeaf Market — fresh from the source.
Choose a voice
Browse the voice library and preview different options. Filter by gender, tone (warm, authoritative, conversational, energetic), and accent. Audition voices with your script before committing.
Configure audio settings
Set your target duration (:15, :30, or :60), output format (MP3 or WAV), and any background music preferences.
Generate and review
Click Generate to produce the audio. Listen through the full spot, paying attention to pacing, pronunciation, and tone. Regenerate with adjustments if needed.
For podcast ads, conversational and warm voice tones tend to perform best. Match the voice style to the feel of the shows where your ad will run.
Customizing AI Output#
Getting the right output often comes down to how you write your creative brief. Here are strategies for guiding the AI toward your brand's voice and style.
Tone and Style#
Be explicit about the emotional tone you want:
- Professional and authoritative — Works for B2B, finance, and healthcare
- Warm and conversational — Best for consumer brands, food, and lifestyle
- Energetic and bold — Suited for sports, entertainment, and youth-oriented products
- Calm and reassuring — Effective for insurance, wellness, and luxury
Brand Voice Consistency#
To maintain consistency across multiple creatives:
- Create a brand brief — Write a short document describing your brand's personality, key messages, and visual identity. Reference it in every generation prompt.
- Reuse successful prompts — When you get a result you like, save the prompt as a template for future creatives.
- Use specific language — Instead of "make it look nice," say "clean layout with ample white space, using our brand blue (#1A3B6F) as the primary accent color."
Iteration Workflow#
The best creatives usually emerge after 2-3 rounds of refinement:
- First pass — Generate with a detailed brief to establish direction
- Second pass — Refine the brief based on what worked and what didn't
- Final pass — Fine-tune specific elements (timing, color, voice inflection)
Reviewing Generated Creatives#
Always review AI-generated content carefully before publishing. Check for visual artifacts in videos and images, verify that any text is accurate and legible, and listen through entire audio spots for pronunciation issues or unnatural pacing. AI output is a starting point — your review is what makes it campaign-ready.
Review Checklist#
Before attaching a creative to your campaign, verify:
- Brand accuracy — Colors, logos, and messaging match your brand guidelines
- Text correctness — All copy is spelled correctly and reads naturally
- Technical specs — Duration, dimensions, and file format meet placement requirements
- Legal compliance — No misleading claims, proper disclaimers included
- Audio quality — No artifacts, appropriate volume levels, clean transitions
- Call to action — Clear and actionable CTA is present
Sharing for Feedback#
Use the Share Preview feature to send a review link to your team or client. They can view the creative, leave comments, and approve or request changes — all without needing a Tap account.
Exporting and Attaching Creatives#
Once your creative is finalized, you can attach it directly to your campaign or download it for use elsewhere.
Attaching to a Campaign#
Open your creative
Navigate to Creatives and select the finalized asset.
Click Attach to Campaign
